Since 1998, ESTRA's Tow Show Committee has been setting aside a portion of the tow show proceeds to fund an educational scholarship for those wishing to continue their education.  Currently, the amount of the scholarship is $500 per year for up to 4 years (total of $2000), provided the recipient continues to meet the eligibility requirements.

This scholarship program was established for the exclusive benefit of ESTRA members, their spouses, and children.  The money will be granted for the purpose of defraying applicants' education-related expenses at an accredited college or trade school.  Eligibility of applicants hinges on a direct relationship with ESTRA, maintaining an acceptable grade point average, and completion of the application. Further details are included in the application itself.

The information provided by applicants will be kept confidential.  Scholarships will be awarded based upon the recommendation of an impartial review panel.  The recipient of the scholarship will be announced at the Awards Ceremony of ESTRA's annual Tow Show in Lake George.

The deadline for receipt of scholarship applications is the first Monday in May, so if you or someone you know has plans to attend school next year and meets the criteria outlined in the application, urge them to apply today.
